Vola Margaret Callaway Beard, 96, of Kingston, Arkansas, entered her heavenly home Friday, August 5, 2016 at Lowell, Arkansas, where she has lived the last few years. Margaret was born November 15, 1919 at Dutton, Arkansas, to Orval and Lydia Spears Callaway. Margaret was a retired school teacher after more than forty-one years, thirty-six of those at Kingston. Her and her late husband, Ewell owned and operated Beard Grocery from 1947 to 1983. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Ewell Beard, one son-in-law, Charles Allred, her parents, four Brothers, Vorris, Clay, Clive and Dale Callaway, one sister, Gola Ammons, one grandson, Jeremy Weaver and one great-grandson, Jacob Thaddeus Allred. Margaret loved the Lord, being a member of the Kingston Church of Christ, teaching school, singing, family, gardening and was a devoted Razorback Sports and Kingston basketball fan. Survivors include: three daughters and two sons-in-law, Julia Jo Allred of Marble, Nancy June and Gary Bowen of Lowell and Joyce Beth and Frank Weaver of Kingston; five grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Scott and Karen Allred of Arizona, Shawn and Jane Allred of Alabama, Lane and Leah Weaver of Kingston, Cody and Chasadee Weaver of Farmington, and Ken and Michelle Bowen of Lowell; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces and a loving caregiver, Katie Collins. Funeral will be held at 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, August 9, at the Kingston Community Church with Frank Weaver, Foye K. Johnson and Larry Johmson officiating. Interment will be in the Cecil Cemetery at Kingston under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: HD Callaway, Scott Allred, Lane Waver, Cody Weaver, Avery Weaver, Ken Bowen. Honorary pallbearers, all Grandchildren, Kingston School Faculty and students. The family will greet friends from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. on Monday at the funeral home.
