Veda Easterling Keck, 78, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died March 30, 2010 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born October 29, 1931 at Wharton, Arkansas, the daughter of Hosie Ellis and Martha Merniva Reynolds Easterling. She was a seamstress for Claymore Manufacturing Company in Huntsville for many years and a member of the Aurora Church of Christ. She was the widow of Dorsey Keck whom she married on November 22, 1946 and who preceded her in death on March 7, 1991. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Verma Lee Keck, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Olen and Dixie Easterling, Noel and Hazel Easterling and Dewell Burgess, two sisters, Lorina Burgess and Imogene Burgess and two brothers-in-law, Lloyd Keck and Clyde Keck. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and LaDonna Keck of Wesley, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Dewey Watkins of Huntsville, Arkansas; one brother and sister-in-law, Odell and Bertha Easterling of Springdale, Arkansas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lou Jean and Otis Parker of Huntsville, Arkansas and Wilda Keck of Witter, Arkansas; one brother-in-law, Floyd Keck of Witter, Arkansas; two grandsons, Michael Keck of Huntsville, Arkansas and Jared Quigley of Lewisville, Kansas; five granddaughters and two grandsons-in-law, Jennifer and Jake Hummingbird of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Michelle and Chris Smallman of Wesley, Arkansas, Angie Watkins of Springdale, Arkansas, Ashley Watkins of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Katrina Taylor of Manhattan, Kansas; three great-grandsons, Dustin Stephenson and Aaron Stephenson, both of Stilwell, Oklahoma and Tommy Smallman of Wesley, Arkansas; three great-granddaughters, Maggie Stephenson of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Ceianna Taylor and Aundre Taylor, both of Manhattan, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Friday, April 2, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Jim Houchins officiating. Interment will be in the Venus Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Michael Keck, Jared Quigley, Gary Keck, Larry Keck, Terry Easterling and Kenny Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be: Floyd Keck, Larry Easterling, Donnie Watkins, Chris Smallman and Jake Hummingbird.
