Ramona Lynne Rathjen, 48, of Huntsville; passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Willard Walker Hospice Home, Fayetteville. She was born Tuesday, April 6, 1976, at ; to Ronald Raymond and Rowena Woodward Grigg. Ramona was a devoted mother to her two beloved sons, Devon and Ryder. Her love for them was unwavering and shone brightly for all to see. In her youth, Ramona was a vibrant and active individual. She played basketball in high school, showed cattle, participated in 4-H, and was a member of the drill team. She also held the prestigious title of Huntsville Rodeo Queen. During her college years, she joined the Sigma Alpha Sorority, further showcasing her dedication and spirit. In 2006, Ramona was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, yet she faced the challenges with incredible strength and resilience. She was an active member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and a passionate advocate, inspiring hope in others through her courage and determination. Ramona cherished her close bond with her father, who was a constant source of love and support in her life. She also found joy in simple pleasures, like watching Netflix, and treasured the moments spent with her family. Ramona’s strength, kindness, and sacrificial love left an enduring mark on all who knew her. Ramona was preceded in death by her mother, Rowena Grigg. She is survived by her Husband, David Rathjen of Huntsville; two sons, Devon and Ryder Rathjen of Huntsville; her Father, Ronald Grigg of Huntsville; one brother, Ronald Grigg Jr. of Ava, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Brashears Funeral Home with Coy Siegrist and Alex Foster officiating. Pallbearers will be Ronald Raymond Grigg, Devon Rathjen, Ryder Rathjen, Jason Yates, Travis Dotson, Gill Bryant. Interment will immediately follow services at Alabam Cemetery, Huntsville, AR. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ramona's name may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY, 10163. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
