Jerick "Hutch" Payeton Hutchinson, age 44, passed away January 9th, 2022, at his home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Jerick was born July 3rd, 1977, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Frank and Joyce Hutchinson. Jerick was born with the spiritual gifts of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. He knew how to love, was patient, kind, selfless, loyal, and truly cherished his family, friends, and Huntsville School family. He provided a helping hand to more people than we will ever know. Jerick graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1995. While attending the University of Arkansas, he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho, graduating with an undergraduate degree, BS of Poultry Science, and a master's degree in AgriScience and Technology. Jerick was the Agriculture Teacher at Huntsville High School from 2003 until the present. He was the Trap Team Coach with three state team titles, Future Farmers of America (FFA), involved with the Madison County Fair, the District Fair in Berryville, and the Arkansas State Fair. Jerick was preceded in death by his dad, Payeton Franklin Hutchinson. His maternal grandparents, Ed and Maydean Williams. His paternal grandparents, Pate and Margurite Hutchinson. His grandmother-in-law, Thelma Hughes (Granny Donuts). Jerick leaves behind to cherish his memory, the love of his life, Stephanie Hagan Hutchinson. Jerick and Stephanie have known each other since they were fourteen years old. They were married on August 30th, 2003, sharing 18 years of love, hopes, dreams, fun, laughter, hardships, and raising three beautiful daughters together. Jerick also leaves the three "apples of his eye," his daughters, who will carry on his love for life, Emily Phillip, Arden Hutchinson, and Avery Hutchinson. His first love, nurturer, teacher of God, and role model; his mother, Joyce Williams Hutchinson. His first childhood friends, partners in crime, possibly taught him the meaning of defending himself; his sisters, Shannon (Michael) Hutchinson Parrish and Kemah (Jason) Hutchinson McClain. His father and mother-in-law, John and Charlene Hagan, loved and respected very much. Sister-in-law, Amy (Brad) Lawrence, and Brother-in-law, Tom (Shannon) Hagan. Nieces: Sarah Parrish and Bailey Hagan. Nephews: Braxton (Whitney) Leichner, Mac (Andrea) Leichner, Quinn McClain, Bailey Parrish, Bryce Parrish, Blake (Suzanne), Hagan, Zach (Kristen) Lawrence, Hagen (McKenzie) Lawrence, John Kade Lawrence, and Trevor Lawrence. Great Nephew, Kasen Leichner. Great Nieces: Addy Leichner, Gracie Mae Lawrence, Charlie Rose Lawrence, Elizabeth Lawrence, and Ellie Leichner. Also left to cherish Jerick's memory is his Huntsville School Family, including past and present students, co-workers, and families. He had a special place in his heart for his students; he loved them and truly cared about them. He tried his best to help them on their journey in life, hoping to instill a love for learning and self-confidence to carry along their way. And last but not least, a host of friends far numerous to name them all. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 12th, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Brashears Funeral Home, 509 North Gaskill Street, Huntsville. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 13th, at the Charles Berry Gymnasium, Polk Street, Huntsville; with Clayton Williams and Steve Shaefer officiating. Due to COVID-19, the family requests wearing masks for both services. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Parrish, Jason McClain, Jaden Williams, Jamie Coleman, Brad Lawrence, Tom Hagan, Blake Hagan, Bailey Parrish, Zach Lawrence, Hagan Lawrence, John Kade Lawrence, Trevor Lawrence, Mac Leichner, Braxton Leichner, Quinn McClain, Bryce Parrish, Randy Riley, and Ryan Goodman. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship account has been set up at Arvest Bank (ending in 1616) c/o Stephanie Hutchinson and Kemah McClain. In honor of Jerick, love God, your family, and your friends. Be respectful, patient, and kind, especially to children and elderly folks. Remember to laugh, hug, and pester those you love and help others all you can. Embrace life, dance in the sunshine and the rain. Throw snowballs, build snowmen, go sledding. Take good care of your animals and your garden. Go barefoot in grass, mud, and water. Properly use your gun and keep it clean. Learn to hunt and fish. Leave your loved ones with sweet memories of your love and laughter!
