It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jackie Jewell Calico, who left this world on July 4, 2026, at the age of 22. Jackie was born on May 10, 2004, at Willow Creek Hospital in Johnson, Arkansas. Though his time here was far too short, he lived a life full of purpose, love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to the people who meant the most to him. Jackie was a proud heavy equipment operator with Griffith Excavation LLC and took great pride in his work. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependable nature, and willingness to help anyone in need. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. Outside of work, Jackie loved golfing, fishing, riding his side-by-side, spending time in his truck, and making memories with his family and friends. Above all else, his greatest love was his wife, Grace. The love they shared was the center of his life, and he never missed an opportunity to show her how much she meant to him. Anyone who knew Jackie knew his bright smile, his contagious laugh, and his incredible sense of humor. He had a gift for making people laugh without even trying and had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome. He was selfless, compassionate, and fiercely loyal to those he loved. Jackie was a God-fearing man who loved with his whole heart. He always showed up, showed out, and left a lasting impression wherever he went. Jackie is survived by his beloved wife, Grace Calico, of Clifty; his parents, Jessica and Don Calico, of Clifty; his paternal grandparents, Donna and John Calico, of Clifty; his maternal grandfather, William Bradford, of Mayfield; his sister and brother-in-law, Ashley and Matt Reynolds, of Clifty; his brother, Justin Calico, of Clifty; his sister, Destny Calico, her future husband, Dakota Burris, and nephew, Carson Burris, all of Clifty; his sister, Haylee Calico, of Clifty; Aunt Kim Guinn of Clifty, Tonie Lippy of Springdale, Tracie Cook of Springdale, Jolene Ralston of Hindsville, and Beckie Bradford of Tontitown; along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Jackie Ray Calico; his uncle, Arthur Lee Serrano; his maternal grandmother, Terry Lee Bradford; and his godmother and aunt, Shelby Susan Powell Williams. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with interment afterward at Upper Clifty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Calico, Haylee Calico, Jimmy Ray Guinn, Connor Guinn, Hunter Williams, Coby Williams, Jesse Emmott, Chaz Cantrell, Aaron Freeman, Cody Coger, and Hunter Hopper. Though our hearts are shattered, we find comfort in knowing that Jackie’s legacy lives on through the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the countless lives he touched. His kindness, strength, faith, and unwavering love will never be forgotten. Until we meet again, your smile will be our sunshine, your laughter our favorite memory, and your love will remain in our hearts forever.
