On March 7, 1941, William Doyle and Flossie Clark Little had a little girl and they name her Donna Jean. Most of her growing up years were spent at Kingston where she attended school and graduated. Donna Jean worked for many years at Meadowview Health Care and Rehab where she was a certified CNA. She also worked for a short time as a dental assistant. For many years she served as the secretary of the Kingston Alumni Association. Donna Jean was a hard worker. She enjoyed gardening and usually raised a big one. Her yard and house were always filled with special flowers and plants, and she had a special touch that seemed to make them grow strong and colorful. Donna Jean also enjoyed embroidery work, cross stitch, and other kinds of sewing and crafts. The annual Fall trips to Branson that Elwanda took her and Flossie on were very special to her. The most important things to Donna Jean were her faith and family. She became a Christian at an early age and was a member of the Kingston Regular Baptist Church. She and her mother also attended Harmony Baptist Church in Huntsville, and while living with Larry and Mary Mitchell, attended Calvary Baptist in Huntsville. She loved the Lord and loved Southern Gospel Music. Donna Jean worked hard to care for her mother, Flossie. For many years, she sacrificed and provided wonderful care for Flossie. She was a great example of a loving and caring daughter. The Lord called Donna Jean home to heaven on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. It was exactly a year from the time her mama, Flossie, was called home to heaven. Donna Jean was 83. There were special loved ones who had gone to heaven before Donna Jean and were there to meet her as she journeyed home. No doubt Doyle, who had been in heaven for many years, welcomed her home. Flossie, who went home a year ago, would have been there to greet her little girl. Elwanda went to heaven in 2007 and what a celebration it must have been when they could once again embrace and be together. Donna Jean left behind Larry Mitchell and wife Mary of Fayetteville; her nephews, Brian Mitchell and wife Erin of Hot Springs; Brent Mitchell and his wife Misty of Kingston; and Brock Mitchell and his wife, Digby of Little Rock. She also left behind her great nieces and nephews: Bayle Mitchell, Aidan Mitchell, Chanlr Mitchell, Ansley Mitchell, Mayella Mitchell, and Creek Mitchell. She is finally at home with her daddy, mama, and her sister, Elwanda. The family will receive friends 1:00 PM-2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM, with Larry Mitchell officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Mitchell, Brent Mitchell, Brock Mitchell, Aidan Mitchell, Creek Mitchell, Billy Clark, and Curtis Clark. Interment will immediately follow services at Kingston Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
