Darcy Lydia Donahou, aged 36, left this life while at home in Combs, Arkansas on July 4, 2026. Darcy was born to Dennis and Dollie Callaway Donahou on February 27, 1990 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was a 2008 graduate of St. Paul High School and attended Arkansas Tech University to start her career of teaching others the joy of art. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Art Education in 2012 and her Master’s in Educational Leadership in 2016, both from Arkansas Tech University. She spent her 10-year teaching career across three different school districts and taught all grades, Kindergarten through 12th. Darcy made it her life’s mission to spread joy and cheer to all those around her. From the love and care she put into her cooking for others, to her legendary holiday-themed dishes, the extra care she put into each occasion, remembering the things that no one else realized were important, and her unwavering empathy for everyone, she made every event and occasion a loving and memorable one. She lived to spread cheer and joy to all of those she encountered and showed that love through an infectious smile and a hug for everyone. From the first instant of being granted a niece, Darcy was all consumed with being ‘Auntie’. As Auntie, she became a second mother to all her nieces and nephews, and she fully dedicated herself to that role. A few years later, she chose someone to start a family with, and like Darcy did in all aspects of her life, she lived to ensure the happiness and well-being for her husband, Anthony. Above all else, her favorite role and the mission she most dedicated herself to, was being Mom to her precious Beckett Henry. She devoted the last four and a half years of her life to his health, growth, and learning and she lived her life as a mom with an unmatched passion. As a Christian, she belonged to New Home Church of Christ, followed the teachings of her Lord and lived each day in a way that spread his message of love to all creatures. Darcy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Ann Donahou, and Dale and Fonda Callaway. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Blok; her son, Beckett Henry Blok; her parents, Dennis and Dollie Donahou; brother, Derek Donahou; her sister Denisa Mayes and brother-in-law J.R. Mayes; nieces Madalie Mayes and Loxley Donahou; nephew Zane Mayes; loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and the best of friends that one could hope for from high school, college, and teaching. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, July 10, 2026, at Brashears Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Brad Hathorn, Chase Hathorn, David Howard, Cary Parker, Pete Reagan, and Slater Shrum. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Jordan, Trevor Smith, Jaclyn Sharp, Travis Pretty, Michael Vanlandingham, Kyndra Hill, Victoria Rogers, Elvira Rodriguez, Megan Handley, Allison Evans, and Heather Holmes. She will be laid to rest immediately following services at New Home Cemetery - Boston, Pettigrew, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Darcy's name may be made to Saint Paul School’s Art Department, PO Box 125, Saint Paul, AR, 72760.
