Coy Wayne Holt

HUNTSVILLE - Coy Wayne Holt,78, of Alabam, Arkansas, died January 26, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born on July 4, 1933 in Marble, Arkansas, the son of John Franklin and Hazel Eva Guess Holt. He was a loved and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and hunting. A graduate of the Huntsville High School class of 1950, he was a retired real estate broker, abstractor, and title agent. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Anchor Lodge #443 in St. Louis, Missouri and of Lodge #364 in Huntsville, Arkansas. He was a member of the Marble United Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his sister, Juanita Holt Burgess; his nephew, Johnny Burgess; his niece, Diana Burgess; his father- and mother-in-law, Austin Henry and Helen Pauline Woods DuVall; and two brothers-in-law, Max Vernon DuVall and Harold Henry DuVall. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlotte Marie DuVall Holt of Alabam, Arkansas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Renee Clark Holt of Forum, Arkansas, and Greg and Jenice Loughry Holt of Goshen, Arkansas; four granddaughters and two grandsons-in-law, Zach and Lauren Holt Matthews of Marietta, Georgia, Kenny and Rebecca Holt Emitt of Marble, Arkansas, Rachel Holt of Forum, Arkansas, and Alyssa Holt of Goshen, Arkansas; two great-grandchildren, Jade Allison Emitt and Ryan James Emitt of Marble, Arkansas; one nephew and niece-in-law, Ronnie and Grace Burgess; and his loyal canine companion, Samantha. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 30, 2012 in the Chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Reverend Alvin Reynolds and the Reverend Randall Galloway officiating. Interment will take place at the Alabam Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home. Visitation will occur at the Chapel of Brashears Funeral Home from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 29, 2012. Pallbearers will be Brad Holt, Greg Holt, Jack Brannan, Ronnie Burgess, Denton Grubb, and Coy Seigrist. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Fifer, Loss "Bub" Houston, Garry Morris, Jim Owens, and Joe Presley.
