Carson C. Holt, 93, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died March 26, 2010 at the Washington Regional Medical Center Hospice in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born December 10, 1916 at Kingston, Arkansas, the son of James Elbert "Bogue" and Mary Ellen "Nellie" Packard Holt. He was a retired businessman, farmer and a veteran of World War Two, serving in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a Protestant, a member of Kingston Lodge #116, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a member of Huntsville Lodge #364, Free and Accepted Masons and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Western Arkansas Scottish Rite Bodies in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Merl Holt and Cecil Holt and by two sisters, Annis Bolinger and Mable Brannaugh. Survivors include: his wife, Ida Fay Robinson Holt of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy James and Earlene Holt of Hindsville, Arkansas; two daughters and one son-in-law, Karen and Barry Tice and Mary Holt, all of Huntsville, Arkansas; three sisters, Viola Ulrich, Katy Vaughn and Marguerite Wheeler, all of Springdale, Arkansas; three grandsons, Shelby Dylan Holt of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Terry Tyler Parson of Johnson, Arkansas and Conley Holt of Hindsville, Arkansas; six granddaughters and two grandsons-in-law, Terri Tice Penney and Jed Penney of Bentonville, Arkansas, Kami Tice Shrum and Jared Shrum, Jacqueline Lovin, Shawna Holt and Katie Beth Lovin, all of Huntsville, Arkansas and Summer Holt of Hindsville, Arkansas; five great-grandsons, Sutton Tice Penney and Seth Barrett Penney, both of Bentonville, Arkansas, Jayden C. Shrum and Jaxton Avery Shrum, both of Huntsville, Arkansas and Hunter Jackson Holt of Hindsville, Arkansas; and one great-granddaughter, Erica Bryn Penney of Bentonville, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Monday, March 29, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Brandon Brasel officiating and Masonic Rites by Huntsville Lodge #364, Free and Accepted Masons. Interment will be in the Big Sandy Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Shelby Holt, Tyler Parson, Conley Holt, Jed Penney, Jared Shrum, Lee Holt and Jerry McCoy. Honorary pallbearers will be: Wayne Holt, Fuller Holt, Jim Vaughan, Johnny Reed, Jerry Wilson, Bernard Baker, Danny Jones and Jack Wilson.
