Bessie Lee Jones, 82, of Huntsville; passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, at home. She was born Thursday, February 24, 1944, at Best; to James “Jo” Earl and Eliza Levina Rice Lynch. Bessie attended Hindsville School and was married to George Nodine on February 1, 1961. Together they were blessed with two sons. Following George’s passing, Bessie found love again with Jimmy Jones, whom she married on October 5, 1995. Through this marriage, Bessie gained a stepdaughter and stepson. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Colbaugh Freewill Baptist Church, where she was very active and deeply devoted to her faith. Bessie was a talented quilt maker who generously donated quilts to many different causes. She was a loving grandma who enjoyed playing pitch and other games with family and friends. Bessie was also a proud dairy farmer who produced quality milk for Kraft Foods. She was known as a caring and compassionate person who touched many lives through her kindness, generosity, and dedication to her family, church, and community. Bessie was preceded in death by her husbands, George Nodine and Jimmy Jones; her parents, Jo and Eliza Lynch; one step-daughter, DeeAnna Drumm; and one sister, Lois Littrell. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Laurie Nodine; and Lonnie and Tina Nodine; all of Clifty; and one step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Danny and Renee Jones, of Bellplane, Kansas. Bessie is also survived by seven grandchildren, Travis Nodine, Cory and Mikaela Nodine, Trent and Emilie Nodine, Nate and Makayla Jones, Haylee and Robbie Narron, Phillip and Mandy Drumm, and Josh and Lisa Drumm; five great-grandchildren; Charlie, Violet, and Claire Nodine, and Evie and Dace Drumm; and four sisters, Mary Johnson, Joann Maze, and Stella Acuff, all of Springdale; and Ina Watson, of Hindsville. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 15, 2026, at Brashears Funeral Home with Clark Snow officiating. Pallbearers will be Trent Nodine, Cory Nodine, Travis Nodine, Tyler Rogers, Doug Acuff, and Richie Nodine. Interment will immediately follow services at Morriss Cemetery, Hindsville. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
