Noble "Tobe" B Bohannan

April 29, 1913 - December 12, 2018

Noble "Tobe" B. Bohannan, 105, of Huntsville; died December 12, 2018, at Huntsville. He was born April 29, 1913, at Rockhouse; to William and Lillian Harviston Bohannan. After a 30-year career as a cement mason in Los Angeles, CA; Tobe returned home to Huntsville where he started a new career as a custodian and maintenance worker for Watson Primary School. He was a special part of the students' lives and they loved him; in his 28 years with the Huntsville School system, he saw many grow up. He became a great part of the community. Everyone knew Tobe, no matter where he went in town. Tobe was always willing to help his neighbors; he had a great capacity for love and will be missed. Tobe was preceded in death by one daughter, Nelta Maxine Greenan; his parents; five brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Bohannan of the home; one granddaughter, Niya Raine Bohannan of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Valisha Bohannan of Lowell; three grandchildren, Janet Kay Brinkman, Sherri Ann Lassiter, and Steven Brooks; ten great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, December 14, 2018, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Brashears Funeral Home with Rick Cope officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Jones, Jimmy Yates, Eddie Bohannan, Bill Jones, TJ Cope, and Brian Simpson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Bohannan, Bub Houston, and Mike Houston. Interment will immediately follow services at Alabam Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
