Mary Alma Carson

Mary Alma Carson, 90, of Springdale, Arkansas, died August 2, 2011 at her home. She was born October 10, 1920 at Wharton, Arkansas, the daughter of Henry and Martha Lyman Bowman. She was a farmer, a taxidermist and a Christian. She was the widow of Burch Carson, whom she married on June 7, 1949 and who preceded her in death on April 2, 2006. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Barron, one son-in-law, Dale Nickle, her parents, three brothers, Otis Sanders, Walter Sanders and Vester Bowman, one sister, Dalphia Cornett and two grandsons, Gary Walden and Danny Walden. Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence and Margaret Carson and Carmon and Wanda Carson, all of Witter, Arkansas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and Leonard Pianalto of Tontitown, Arkansas, Geraldine and Jimmy Burton, Juanita Nickle and Harold Barron, all of Springdale, Arkansas; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Cody and Glenda Bowman and Vivian Bowman, all of Huntsville, Arkansas; one sister, Maxine Dennis of Aurora, Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren and thirty-one great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Friday, August 5, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Lyndell Bowman and Eric Pianalto, eulogist officiating. Interment will be in the Venus Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneral home.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
