Lindell James Bowman

Lindell James Bowman, 64, of Springfield, Missouri, died June 22, 2012 at his home. He was born May 14, 1948 at Aurora, Arkansas, the son of Sylvester "Vester" and Vivian Elaine Dennis Bowman. He was a pastor and administrator for the Pentecostal Church of God in Southern California and a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his father on February 22, 2006. Survivors include: his wife, Laura May Weatherford Bowman of the home; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Noble Lee and Kesia Bowman of Springfield, Missouri, Kelly Myles Bowman of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Garth Del and Melisa Bowman of Bolivar, Missouri and Chad Amory and Brook Bowman of McFarland, California; his mother, Vivian Bowman of Huntsville, Arkansas and one brother, Earl Williston of Owasso, Oklahoma and fourteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Friday, June 29, at the First Assembly of God Church in Huntsville with his sons officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Friday, June 29, at the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Carmon Carson, Clarence Carson, Ronald Dennis, Paul Richey, Brett Williston and Larry Easterling. Honorary pallbearers will be: Robert Garton, Randy Garton and Greg Williston. The family will receive friends from 5:30 P. M. to 7:30 P. M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
