John Dee Smith, 73, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died December 26, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born February 28, 1942 at Fullerton, California, the son of William D. and Edith Mae Gardner Smith. He was a retired electrician and was preceded in death by one son, Barry Lee Smith. Survivors include: his wife, Rowena Williams Smith of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, John D. Smith, Jr. and Kim B. Smith of Pettigrew, Arkansas, Jeff and Liz Smith of Elkins, Arkansas and Edward Smith of Huntsville, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Felisha and Donnie Watkins of Japton, Arkansas; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth Simon and Evelyn Smith of Elkins, Arkansas; one sister, Dollie Walker of Kingston, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P. M. Wednesday, December 30, at the Liberty Cemetery near Pettigrew, Arkansas with T. J. Bennett, Minister officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Codi Smith, Cory Smith, Grant Smith, Noah Terry, Wyatt Smith, Kyle Smith, Joshua Smith and Tollie Smith.
