Jesse Doyle Evans, 83, of Wheeler, Arkansas, died January 28, 2015 at The Maples in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born October 22, 1931 at Hindsville, Arkansas, the son of William Elbert "Bud" and Rainey Jane Rice Evans. He had retired from the Physical Plant Department of the University of Arkansas and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Army. He was a Baptist and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Cornelison Evans on October 23, 2005. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Kathy Evans of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jeff Bond of Springdale, Arkansas; one brother, Granvil Evans of Hindsville, Arkansas; two sisters, Cora Floy of Torrington, Wyoming and Lucille West of Springdale, Arkansas; four grandsons, Justin Bond of Goshen, Arkansas, Jesse Bond of Springdale, Arkansas and Ethan Evans and Derek Evans, both of Fayettevile, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Sara Ruckenbrod of Fayetteville, Arkansas and one great-grandson, Christopher Charles Ruckenbrod of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Monday, February 2, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverends Loren Collins and Eldon Bagwell officiating. Interment will be in the Colbaugh Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Floyd Cornelison, Jerry Cornelison, Steven Cornelison, Rolland Purser, Rick Evans and Doug Tate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P. M. to 4:00 P.
