    Jack Brannan

    April 2, 1933 - March 6, 2022

    Jack Edward Brannan, 88, of Huntsville; passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Willard Walker Hospice, Fayetteville. He was born Sunday, April 2, 1933, at Derby, Kansas; to Floyd Dale and Jessie Christina Minnich Brannan. Jack married Alta Faye Donnohue on Saturday, February 9, 1952, at Huntsville; and together they were parents to two sons. He worked for Boeing Aircraft where he held a high-level clearance for control wiring on B52 bombers. Later in life, he worked for Campbell Soup as a maintenance manager. As a jack of all trades and master of many, Jack excelled in many areas. Among the highlights of his life was owning a Leo Quarter Horse, from the legendary sire of the American Quarter Horse world. Farming, mushroom hunting, and armadillo hunting were among his favorite hobbies. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Jessie Brannan; one grandchild, Justin R. Crumbliss; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Harold Brannan, Jim and Billie Brannan, Max Brannan, Bob and Bea Brannan, and Donald and Lois Brannan. He is survived by wife, Alta Faye Brannan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Janet Brannan of Huntsville, and Steve and Linda Brannan of Wesley; four grandchildren, Charissa and Shane Brannan-Clark of Huntsville, Melissa and Daniel Brannan-Layne of Pineville, Missouri; Stephen and Jodean Brannan of Rogers; and Cassandra and Scott Brannan-Hatfield of Carrolton, Texas; ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Darrell and Nada Brannan, and Nadine Brannan. The family will receive friends 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Huntsville Assembly of God with Rusty Blann and Alex Foster officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael McCoy, Tommie Thomas, Brad Holt, Greg Holt, Brandon Morgan, and Jim Richard Donohue. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Ramsey, Jeff Ramsey, Ron and Reba Sloan, Randy and Cathy Smith, James and Patti Fowler, Robert and Wendy Peltz, Roger and Cathy Burnett, and Wayne and Charlotte Holt. Interment will immediately follow services at Huntsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Jack and Faye Brannan Benevolence Fund, c/o Evangel Assembly of God, PO Box 826, Huntsville, AR 72740. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
