Tommy Wallace Ledbetter, 88, of Huntsville; passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, at Willard Walker Hospice Home, Fayetteville. He was born Wednesday, July 28, 1937 in Cordell, Oklahoma; the third of eleven children to Vaughan Norman and Helen Marie Rouse Ledbetter. Tom married Helen LaFern McChristian, on Saturday, April 6, 1991, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He worked as a logger for many years, a reflection of his strong work ethic and love of the outdoors. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and riding the back dirt roads on his side-by-side. Above all, Tom was a devoted husband who treated Helen like a queen and was fiercely protective of both her and their family. He lovingly embraced his chosen daughters and their families as his own, caring for them with unwavering devotion. His greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren, and nothing made him happier than having them stop by for a visit, he would have welcomed them every day if he could. Tom will be remembered for his ornery sense of humor, his fun-loving spirit, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Vaughan and Helen Ledbetter; one grandson, Tyler Lambdin; one brother Michael Ledbetter; and one sister, Mary Lou Ledbetter. He is survived by his wife, Helen Ledbetter, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Jeff Miller, and Glenda and William Lambdin; five grandchildren, Justin Lambdin, Ashley and Jason Shrum, Daniel and Kasey Lambdin, Latricia Miller, and Matthew Miller; and five great-grandchildren, Jonathan Shrum, Issac Lambdin, Jordan Shrum, Kinley Lambdin, and Lane Lambdin. Tom is also survived by eight siblings Bertha, Patsy, Dewey, Gloria, Joe, Lois, Jerry and Helen. The family will receive friends 9:00 AM-10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM, with Larry Combs officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Miller, William Lambdin, Justin Lambdin, Daniel Lambdin, Matthew Miller, and Jason Shrum. Honorary pallbearers will be Ashley Shrum, Latricia Miller, Jonathan Shrum, Lane Lambdin, Jordan Shrum, Issac Lambdin, and Kinley Lambdin. Interment will immediately follow services at Bohannan Mountain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tom's name may be made to the Madison County Senior Center, PO Box 598, Huntsville, AR 72740. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
