Ralph Edward Hoskins, 64, of Huntsville, finished his journey this side of Heaven on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Willard Walker Hospice, Fayetteville. He was born Sunday, April 5, 1959, in Whitley City, Kentucky; to Euell Steven “Bus” and Norma Lee Bruce Hoskins. Ralph graduated from McCreary Central High School and moved from Kentucky to Arkansas and became a lineman for Madison County Telephone Company where he worked with a special friend, Doug Foster, who became like a brother after 27 years of shenanigans. He was a devoted father to Josh, Monty, and Remm. Ralph cherished the simple joys of life, finding solace in hunting and fishing. Above all, his heart swelled with love for his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved going “home” to Kentucky to be with his brothers and sisters. Ralph loved fishing with his buddy Mike and visiting with his friends at Fuel Zone and Granny’s Kitchen. He also enjoyed going to auctions, collecting guns, and watching Westerns and the History Channel! Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, "Bus" and Norma Hoskins; three sisters, Judy King, Beverly Tucker Kidd, and M. Lee Gregory. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Josh and Jennifer Hoskins, of Hindsville; Monty and Lindsey Hoskins, of Huntsville; and Remmington and Courtney Hoskins, of Elkins; and five grandchildren, Jayden Hoskins, Haley Hoskins, Jacee Hoskins, Holden Hoskins, and Hayden McKamy. He is also survived by three sisters, Linda Worley, Sue and Danny Ford, and Robin Smith; three brothers, Euell Hoskins, Jr., J.C., and Shirley Hoskins, and William Hoskins; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 17, 2023, at Brashears Funeral Home with Danny Ford and Coy Siegrist officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jayden Hoskins, Holden Hoskins, Doug Foster, and Mike Atwell. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in Ralph's name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
