Phyllis Ruth Joyner, 77, of Hindsville, Arkansas, died July 25, 2008 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born June 18, 1931 at Spring Valley, Arkansas, the daughter of Harlan Floyd and Lucy Caroline Lawson Phillips. She was an employee of Levi Strauss and Company before she began farming with her husband. She was a member of the Mount Zion Free Will Baptist Church and the widow of Robert William Joyner, who preceded her in death on March 24, 2005. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Henry Phillips, Kenneth Phillips and Carroll Phillips. Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Lucy Margaret and Todd McCool of Cave Springs, Arkansas and Melissa Annette and Charles Dysart of Hindsville, Arkansas; four stepsons and three stepdaughters-in-law, Lester and Charlotte Joyner and James Earl and Kelley Joyner, all of Hindsville, Arkansas, Larry and Beverly Joyner of Lookout, Arkansas and Gerald Joyner of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one stepdaughter, Sherry Harp of Farmington, Arkansas; one brother and three sisters-in-law, Claud Floyd "Sug" and Virginia "Gin" Phillips of Rogers, Arkansas, Nadine Phillips of Springdale, Arkansas and Lena Phillips of Hindsville, Arkansas; one sister and brother-in-law, Ruby Nadine and Harold Clardy of Lowell, Arkansas; two grandsons, Brandon James Carney and Jake William McCool, both of Cave Springs, Arkansas; eleven stepgrandchildren; and fourteen stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, July 29, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverends Earl Dean Morris and Arthur Lee Galloway officiating. Interment will be in the Bettis-Morris Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Loy Gene Phillips, Floyd Phillips, Gary Phillips, Brian Phillips, Don Phillips, Steve Phillips and Keith Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be: Claud Phillips, Virginia Phillips, Ruby Clardy and Harold Clardy.
