Keith Burney Garton, 88, of Rogers, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 9, 2021. He had many health concerns, but succumbed to Covid after a brief battle with pneumonia. Keith was born May 24, 1933 in Kingston, Arkansas, the youngest boy of nine children, born to Howard and Sarah Garton. After graduating from Kington High School, he went to the University of Arkansas and completed a BSBA in 1959 in Real Estate and Insurance. Upon graduation, he worked for the Prudential Insurance Company and worked there twenty-eight years until his retirement. After retirement, Keith drove a bus for the Springdale Schools briefly and sold real estate at McCamey Real Estate. Keith was married to Nancy Dryer on March 23, 1959 in Huntsville, Arkansas. They had three beautiful children, Tammy, Lyle, and Darin. Nancy preceded him in death on November 8, 2002. He married Beth Fore on April 24, 2002 in Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was SO grateful for the many friends, family members, and loved ones who have enriched his life. He loved his wife and children well, but also appreciated his sibling's families too. He loved a good laugh and always had a funny story he was ready to tell. At any time, he was ready for a game of cards, Joker, or dominoes. He was an exemplary churchman, serving at Ridgeview Baptist in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Village Baptist in Bella Vista, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife Beth (Fore) Garton of Rogers, Arkansas, Tammy (Fred) Lawson of Carrollton, Texas, Lyle (Lisa) Garton of Fort Worth, Texas, and Darin (Stacy) Garton of Evansville, Indiana. He was proud his grandchildren, Joanna Lawson of Carrollton, Texas, Michael Lawson and Jon Lawson of Austin, Texas, Lily Garton of Phoenix, Arizona, Lara Garton of New York, New York, Livi Garton of Fort Worth, Texas, Hannah Garton of Evansville, Indiana, Madison Garton of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Fletcher Garton of Evansville, Indiana. He did not consider death to be a great loss, but looked at it as a promotion to be with the Lord. Since Covid was a part of the equation, the family will be waiting a while to have a memorial service so that we can gather safely. A memorial service is planned for Monday, November 22nd, 2021 at Village Baptist Church in Bella Vista, Arkansas at 10:30 am with Dr. Darin Garton presiding. Cremation is entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
