Jim Duncan

Jim "Jimmy Dennis" Duncan, 74, of Huntsville, Arkansas, passed away on January 24, 2024, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Jim was a man of God, he spent most of his life serving the Lord. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Vickie Duncan, and their children, Jamie and (Billy) Jackson and Jeremy and (Gina) Duncan. He will also be greatly missed by his cherished granddaughters, Joey and (Anthony) Schroeder, Shelbi and (Ronnie) Usrey, Danny Jackson, Abby Duncan, Madison Holland, and grandson, Briar and (Jerri) Garrett. Jim was blessed with two great-grandsons Calvin Duncan and Kaiden Duncan, as well as one great-granddaughter, Quinlynn Schroeder. He is also survived by his sister, Earlene England, many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Jim was born on March 23, 1949, in Fayetteville Arkansas, to Earl and Mildred Duncan. He was preceded in death by his father Earl Duncan, his mother Mildred Duncan, and his son, Brent Holland. Throughout his life, Jim served the Lord. He was a pastor at Drakes Creek Baptist Church. He was the owner of Duncan & Sons Construction and helped numerous families build their dream homes. He lived for serving the Lord. He loved his wife and family beyond measure. He loved working with his hands and playing golf. Jim's kindness, devotion, and unwavering faith will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire others for generations to come. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, January 26, 2024, at Brashears Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Jim's life will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Drakes Creek Baptist Church. with Dennis Fisher and John Napier officiating. Pallbearers will be Trevor Beadle, Toby Hignite, Greg Slane, Jesse Burks, Carl Sloan, and Brent Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Schroeder, Ronnie Usrey, Tom Clark, Chris Ferguson, Howard Boyd, Stan Sisemore, Phil Samuels, Roger Samuels, Dwight Thomas, Dustin Canion, and Briar Garrett. Interment will immediately follow services at Drakes Creek Cemetery, Wesley. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
