Ms. Jean Boucher, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on a Monday of December 30, 1940, in Midland, Michigan, to C. John Taeusch (1899-1978) and Susan Taeusch (1904-1987). Jean was the baby of the family and was lovingly doted on by her two older brothers, Jack Taeusch (1926-1986) and David Taeusch (1930-1998). Jean married the love of her life, Robert Boucher on August 31, 1959 in Boise, Idaho, where the two eloped. Robert preceded her in death in 2022. They met during their senior year of high school when Robert's family moved to Michigan and stopped at Jean's family's motel. They later found themselves in the same homeroom at school, where their love blossomed. After graduation from high school, Jean attended a local cosmetology school and became an accomplished hairdresser. After moving to Shreveport, Louisiana where both of her daughters were born, she even owned and operated her own beauty shop. In 1976, the family moved to San Antonio, Texas, where Jean continued her work as a hairdresser and rediscovered her passion for oil painting. She excelled in her art and sold many beautiful paintings at the Starving Artist shows along the Riverwalk for many years. Jean loved to travel with her husband and especially cherished trips to the Grand Teton Mountains. Her final employment was with Sysco Foods in Riviera Beach, Florida, where she was able to work alongside Robert. They retired in 2006 and moved back to Northwest Arkansas to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren. Jean is survived by her daughters Brenda Laird and Bobbie Rotenberry including her son in-law, Trey Rotenberry. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Alexandria and her husband Nick Cawthon; Mandy Rotenberry; and Brooklyn Barnes. Jean had four great-grandchildren who brought her tremendous joy: Cooper & Clara Cawthon, Haizley Anderson and Mayva Taylor. Lastly, Jean’s beloved dog, Baby will remain with family and be lovingly cared for just as she would have wanted. Jean and Robert's ashes will be taken to Springhill, Louisiana, for burial in the family cemetery by their daughters, Brenda and Bobbie, in accordance with their wishes. Cremation is entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
