Dorothy Ann Hoskins, 87, of Witter; went to be home with the Lord on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Willard Walker Hospice Home, in Fayetteville, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on Monday, February 6, 1939, at Chicago, Illinois; to Albert and Ann Marie Homola. Dorothy’s family’s journey began when her grandparents entered the United States through Ellis Island and settled in Chicago, Illinois. From there, they made their way to Helper, Kansas before eventually putting down roots in Witter, Arkansas. It was in the Ball Creek community that Dorothy met the love of her life, Arlis “Clayton” Hoskins. They were married on Saturday, July 20, 1957, and built a life together in Ball Creek, where they remained throughout their marriage. Together they raised three children: David, Teresa, and Marcia. Dorothy worked for many years as a USDA Inspector with Butterball and Cargill, serving with dedication and pride. For more than 20 years, she was a faithful member of Living Water Baptist Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart, remained steadfast in her faith, and shared the love of Christ with her family, leading many of them to know Him as their Savior. She found great joy in tending her flowers and garden, and one of the ways she showed her love was through baking. Dorothy delighted in preparing treats for family and friends, especially traditional Hungarian and Bohemian dishes that honored her heritage. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted Mother, Grandma, Nana, and "Sugar Dixie", always ready to love, encourage, and do anything for them. Dorothy also had a special place in her heart for animals and cherished the many companions she had throughout her life, especially her teacup Yorkie, Toto, and her beloved German Shepherd, Sheba. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Arlis “Clayton” Hoskins; her parents, Albert and Ann Marie Homola; granddaughter, Allison Hoskins; daughter-in-law, Jeanine Hoskins; sister, Alberta Shepherd; brother, Wayne Homola; and her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Willie Hoskins. Dorothy is survived by her son, David Hoskins; his daughter, Amy Hoskins, and her son, Rhett Porter; and his son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Nikki Hoskins, and their children, Henry Hoskins and Harper Hoskins. She is also survived by her daughters, Teresa Hoskins and Marcia Ramirez, and son-in-law, Abel Ramirez. Marcia and Abel's daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Scotty Willingham, and their children, Tenley Hargis, Jennings Willingham, and Bexley Willingham; and their son and daughter-in-law, A.C. and Lakin Ramirez, and their children, Porter Ramirez, Heston Ramirez, and Arlis Ramirez. She is also survived by her loving church family and many dear friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral Service will immediately follow, with Tim Gabbard officiating. Pallbearers will be David Hoskins, Abel Ramirez, A.C. Ramirez, Phillip Hoskins, Scotty Willingham and Terry Hoskins. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Porter, Mark Koenig, Russell Hoskins, Leon Drain, Edward Powell, and Randy Barnett. Interment will immediately follow services at Captain Smith Cemetery, Witter, AR
