Clinton Howard Womack, 86, of Colcord, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born on August 4, 1938, in Huntsville, Arkansas, to Erton Lee and Tina Lee (Ladd) Womack, Clinton lived a life rooted in hard work, and love for family. On May 26, 1960, Clinton married the love of his life, Edna Loraine Bundrant, in Turley, Oklahoma. Their 64 years of marriage were a testament to their unwavering devotion to one another. Together, they raised three children: Clinton Lee, Susan, and Greg, who filled their lives with joy and meaning. A farmer by trade, Clinton was a man deeply connected to the land. In his earlier years, he had a passion for travel and a profound appreciation for music, often singing along to his favorite tunes. His character was defined by honesty, kindness, and a willingness to help others in need. Those who knew him often remarked on his gentle spirit and his steadfast work ethic. Clinton also enjoyed a long career at Franklin Electric, where he worked from 1977 to 1994. After retiring, he took great pride in assisting Edna with her ceramics, often traveling together to showcase her beautiful work at art shows. These creative journeys brought them closer and allowed them to share their love for craftsmanship with the world. Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, Erton and Tina Womack; his son, Clinton Lee Womack; his sister, Louise Womack; and his brothers, Allen, Lewis, and Bobby Lee Womack. He is survived by his beloved wife, Edna, who stood faithfully by his side throughout their life together. He also leaves behind his son, Greg Womack (Kristina) of Missouri, and his daughter, Susan Cunningham (Bill) of Springdale, as well as two sisters, Alta Cagel and Deloris Olson (Arthur); two brothers, Harold Womack (Paula) and Floyd Womack (Tina); along with many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Clinton’s legacy is one of love, strength, and integrity, a beacon of light for all who were fortunate enough to know him. A graveside service to honor Clinton’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Marshall Cemetery in Huntsville, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made in Clinton’s name to Good Shepherd Hospice in Grove, Oklahoma, 1120 NEO Loop, Grove, OK, 74344. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
