Vivian Carson
February 19, 1931 - February 7, 2021
Vivian S. Carson, 89, of Fayetteville; left her earthly home on Sunday, February 7, 2021; to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ; 12 days before her 90th birthday. She was the daughter of William Kermit and Maudie Franklin Smith; born February 19 1931, in Boston, Arkansas. Vivian loved her family unconditionally. She made many memories for her friends and family. She will be deeply missed. She was a great cook, loved beautiful flowers, enjoyed gospel and country music, and was known for helping anyone in need. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clifton Smith and Benton Smith; one sister, June Johnston; her sister-in-law, Carol Smith (who was like a sister.) She was also preceded in death by her husband, who was the love of her life for almost 49 years, Thomas Warren Carson; and her only grandchild, Travis Dale Maguire. How they adored each other. Vivian is survived by her only child, Marilyn Maguire and husband Dale, who she loved a like a son; one great-grandchild, Ethan C. Maguire, and his mother Lynn; one niece, Vicki Smith, and husband Mikle; one great-nephew Bradley Smith, and wife, Charity; two nephews Joe and Bruce; two friends have been close to Vivian for over 72 years, Cleva Bolding and Delphia Lawson, they shared many good times together; Mary and JD Warren, who were also very special to her; and her many cousins. The family would like to thank many people who assisted with Vivian's care, especially her caregiver for the last two years, Esther. Vivian loved you and we love you. Words are not enough. Due to COVID-19, private services were held 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville with Lonnie Burks officiating. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
