Roy Wayne Meyers

Roy Wayne Meyers, 71, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died January 3, 2011 at the Washington Regional Medical Center Hospice in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born January 6, 1939 at Dido, Texas, the son of James Dewey and Bertie Mae Galttana Meyers. He had retired from Pioneer Mobile Homes in Springdale, Arkansas and was a Baptist and was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Sidney Meyers. Survivors include: one son, David Wayne Meyers of Las Vegas, Nevada; two daughters, Rebecca Lynn Meyers of Seligman, Missouri and Karen Gray Lara of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three brothers, Alvin Meyers, Owen Meyers and James Allen Meyers, all of Huntsville, Arkansas; three sisters, Carolyn Joyce Windham of Springdale, Arkansas, Robin Delana Vanhook of Huntsville, Arkansas and Kelly Elaine Rogers of Greenland, Arkansas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Thursday, January 6, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Butch Bolinger officiating. Interment will be in the Big Sandy Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Joseph Ellis, James Allen Meyers, Owen Meyers, Johnny Meyers, Amanda Meyers and Michael Meyers. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers, his sisters, many relatives and special friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
