Robert Eugene Shank

Robert Eugene Shank, 91, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died January 18, 2015 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born May 19, 1923 at Chicago, Illinois, the son of John Abraham and Harriett Stager Shank. He was a retired inventor and designer and a veteran of World War Two, serving in the United States Army Air Force. He was a active member of the First Baptist Church of Huntsville and Gideons International. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Shank and by one daughter, Cynthia Jean Parker. Survivors include: his wife, Peggy Lou Wood Shank of the home; two sons, Robert Eugene Shank, II and wife, Karen of Redondo Beach, Califoria and William Shank and wife, Andrea of Lawndale, California; three stepsons, Jimmy Lewis and wife, Rissa of Stinnett, Texas, Jack W. Lewis and wife, Annette of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Joseph Lewis of Fort Collins, Colorado; two daughters, Janet Sullivan and husband, Steve of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Jeanie Andrews and husband, Terry of Springdale, Arkansas; one sister, Pauline Weis of Louisville, Kentucky; five grandchildren; fifteen stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren and twenty-three stepgreat-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A. M. Friday, January 23, at the First Baptist Church in Huntsville with The Reverend Jack McCarty officiating.
