Michael Jay Davis, 66, of Huntsville; died Monday, April 12, 2021, at Northwest Medical Center, Springdale. He was born Sunday, August 29, 1954, at Huntsville; to Jimmy Ira Davis and Othenia Leona Hughes Burkes. Michael married Joyce Ann Riley on Friday, July 16, 1976 at Huntsville, AR; and together they were parents to three children. He was a custodian for the Huntsville School District. Michael loved working at the school, fishing, watching his grandkids, and spending time with those he loved. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Davis, and one brother, Johnny Davis. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Lance and Kelly Ann Davis of Huntsville; and Chad Davis of Huntsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Shana and Shane Honeycutt of Huntsville; five grandchildren, Kimberly Landrum, Nic Davis, Regen Davis, Adam Honeycutt, and Dawson Honeycutt; his mother and step-father, Othenia and Earl Burkes; four sisters, and one brother. The family will receive friends 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Friday, April 16, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19, please practice social distancing and masks are required. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Sparks Cemetery with Jim Duncan officiating. Pallbearers will be Lance Davis, Chad Davis, Shane Honeycutt, Randy Watkins, Kelly Holloway, Gary Faulkner, and Colby Willis. Honorary pallbearers will be Nic Davis, Kimberly Landrum, Regan Davis, Adam Honeycutt, and Dawson Honeycutt. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
