Lee Roy Thompson, 84, of Huntsville; died Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Huntsville. He was born Tuesday, April 30, 1935, at Park Hill, Oklahoma; to Darther Lee and Ida Enlow Thompson. Lee Roy married Lola Rea Doss in Berryville on March 10, 1953; together they were parents to three children. Lee Roy was a member of the Harmony Regular Baptist Church. He was well known to be meticulous about his work and family. Lee Roy was predeceased by his parents; four brothers, Eual Thompson, Rual Thompson, Bobby Thompson, and an infant brother; and one sister, Betty Lee Ledbetter. He is survived by his wife, Lola Thompson of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Phil and Glenda Thompson of Fayetteville; Garry and Susan Thompson of Huntsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Libbie and Rodney Israel of Huntsville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Mary Kay Thompson of Springdale; and Frank and Thelma Thompson of Huntsville; one sister, Wilma Ledbetter of Huntsville; 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Brashears Funeral Home with Glen Faulkner and Lonnie Siler officiating. Pallbearers will be Morgan Anderson, Beau Thompson, Bracken Thompson, Michael Sloan, John Box, and Denver Little. Interment will immediately follow services at Alabam Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
