Tributes

Harold Alfred "Bud" Sorensen, 96, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died January 27, 2015 at his home. He was born April 25, 1918 at Ceylon, Minnesota, the son of Alfred and Eda Lubenow Sorensen. He was a farmer and a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army. He was an active member of Bagley American Legion for 45 years and loved to fish, hunt and play cards. He was preceded in death by his wives, Inga Miller Sorensen, Florence Kaiser Sorensen and Marion A. Sevcik Sorensen and three brothers, Clarence Sorensen, August Richard Hinrichs and Arnold Hinrichs; stepson, Lester P. Sevcik and one step-great-grandchild. Survivors include: two stepsons and one stepdaughter, Francis A. Sevcik of Huntsville, Arkansas and Kenneth J. and Kathy Sevcik of Faribault, Minnesota; one stepdaughter, Marian E. McGregor of San Carlos, California; one stepdaughter-in-law, Noreen Sevcik of Medford, Minnesota; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Donald E. and Joan Hinrichs and Betty J. Hinrichs, all of Osakis, Minnesota; fifteen step-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren; Betty's children, Cindy Schmidt, Tom Hinrichs, Vicki Hinrichs, Nancy Waldorf and Tim Hinrichs; Donald and Joan's children, Dan Hinrichs, Mark Hinrichs, John Hinrichs and Guy Hinrichs and a cousin, Nora Hansen. A celebration of his life along with military honors by Bagley American Legion will be held at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, February 7, at the Clearwater Lutheran Church, 186 2nd Street, Shevlin, Minnesota with Pastor Jeremiah Holst officiating. Interment will be in the Dodge Cemetery in Pinewood, Minnesota.
