Geneva Ann Johnson, 61, of Hindsville, Arkansas, died May 15, 2011 at her home. She was born February 13, 1950 at Huntsville, Arkansas, the daughter of Eual and Irene McGinnis Thompson. She was a homemaker and a substitute teacher for the Huntsville Public Schools. She was an active member of Christ Lighthouse Church, a member of the Hindsville Riding Club, Hindsville 4-H, Hindsville Extension Homemakers and the Arkansas Old Time Fiddlers Association. She was named member of the year in 1994 of the Arkansas Association for Family and Community Education. Survivors include: her husband of forty-five years, Carl Johnson of the home whom she married on June 6, 1966; two sons and daughters-in-law, Stacy and Jamie Johnson of Huntsville, Arkansas and Shelby and Belinda Johnson of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters, Juanita Shepherd of Batesville, Arkansas and Jeanetta Lauver of Springdale, Arkansas; and three grandchildren, Ragan Johnson, Hayden Johnson and Luke Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, May 18, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Pastor Les Fletcher and The Reverend Randy Burris officiating. Interment will be in the Cherry Chreek Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Harold Bivens, Buddy Oxford, Edwin Hunt, Roger Becker, Kenny Thompson and Dwain Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Larry Thompson, Tim Thompson, Darson Worley, Pete Pitts, Kenneth Phillips, Hayden Johnson, Steve Corbitt, Jim Bowerman, Bill Jones, Harold Corbitt and Bob Boyd. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
