FD Madewell, 81, of Hindsville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at his home. He was born November 9, 1940, in Densmore; the son of Henry and Verdie Davidson Madewell. He attended and was a deacon of the Land of Goshen Free Will Baptist Church. FD had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his horses, hunting and was always willing to help anyone in need. He retired after a long career at Campbell Soup. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Lee, Troy, Vester, and Ruben Madewell: five sisters, Argie Madewell, Estie Crisp, Marie McMillian, Donnie Freeman, and Pauline Jones. Survivors include his wife, Alta Madewell of the home to whom he was married to for 62 years; his children, son David Madewell of Hindsville, and daughter Dalane Doss of Goodman, Missouri; two sisters, Lorene Johnson of Huntsville; and Patty Freeman of Lowell; three grandchildren; Tiffeny Walls (James) of Jay, Oklahoma; Amanda Smith (Josh) of Winslow; and Andrea Faidley (Bryan) of Longview, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7:00 PM, Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, December 3, 2021, at Land of Goshen Free Will Baptist Church with Lonnie Burks officiating. Pallbearers are Johnny Willis, Carl Madewell, Bobby Madewell, Chris Madewell, Billy McMillian, and Billy Hall. Honorary Pallbearers are Jaden Hoy, Dannie Hoy, Katelynn Smith, Brayden Faidley, Aubrie Faidley, and Blake Faidley. Interment will immediately follow services at Liberty Cemetery, Dry Fork. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
