Evelyn Elizabeth Early

Evelyn Elizabeth Early, 93, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died October 15, 2013 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born August 18, 1920 at Dayton, Texas, the daughter of James Franklin and Prudie L. McGowan Benton. She was a retired secretary, a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Huntsville, Arkansas and the widow of Ira Sturgis Early, Sr., whom she married on September 9, 1943 and who preceded her in death on December 9, 1993. Survivors include: one son, Ira Strugis Early, Jr. of Houston, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Mike Colville of Huntsville, Arkansas; one brother, Elwood Benton of Livingston, Texas; three sisters, Jean Aiken of Baytown, Texas, Thelma Robledo of Pearland, Texas and Bernice Wheeler of Deer Park, Texas; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P. M. Sunday, October 20, at the Wharton Cemetery in Wharton, Texas with The Reverend Charles Smith officiating by Wharton Funeral Home of Wharton, Texas.
