Dorothy Marie Meeks

Dorothy Marie Meeks, 97, of Drakes Creek, Arkansas died May 18, 2017 at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab at Huntsville where she had been a longtime resident. She was born January 8, 1920 at Drakes Creek, Arkansas the daughter of Marcus DeLafayette and Mattie Mae Boyd Clark. She was a homemaker and a member of the Huntsville Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Meeks and two grandchildren, Phillip Carlson and Amy Joiner. Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Sondra Marie and David Duncan and Barbara Joann and Allen Carlson all of Drakes Creek, Arkansas; one brother, Conley Clark of Anaheim, California; two sisters, Delores Varner of Springdale, Arkansas and Wanda Larson of Drakes Creek, Arkansas; three grandson, David Duncan II, Jeffrey Carlson and Bill Stewart; two granddaughters, Carla Martinez and Twyla Engle; twenty-two great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 23 at the Evangel Assembly of God Fellowship with Reverend David Duncan II officiating. Interment will be in the Carlson Family Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net at Huntsville.
