Charlie Hayden Thomas, 88, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died August 12, 2012 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born September 5, 1923 at Friday, Texas, the son of William Henry and Ida Read Thomas. He was a former employee of General Telephone and Electric, a farmer and a veteran of World War Two and the Korean War, serving in the United States Army. He was a member of the Hindsville First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Graves Thomas on March 27, 2008. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Thompson. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, CH COL Ronald and Cecilia Thomas of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ramona Gail and Dave Jorgensen and Rebecca and Lynn Loyd, all of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Rhonda and Joe Addis of Tulsa, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P. M. Tuesday, August 14, at the Buckeye Cemetery with Chaplain Ronald Thomas and The Reverend Lynn Loyd officiating.
