Tributes

Carl Henry Watkins, 88, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died February 24, 2011 at the Washington Regional Medical Center Hospice in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born April 7, 1922 at Japton, Arkansas, the son of Tom and Mae Parsley Watkins. He was a farmer, a veteran of World War Two, serving in the United States Army and a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Falkner Watkins. Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mike Watkins and Steve and Elizabeth Watkins, all of Huntsville, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Gary Cornett of Huntsville, Arkansas; one brother, Raymond Watkins of Combs, Arkansas; six grandchilren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Monday, February 28, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Dan Byler and Perry Hochstetler officiating. Interment will be in the Bohannan Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Freddie Watkins, Rick Harriman, Dean McChristian, Randy Cornett, Jim Cornett and James Fritts. Honorary pallbearers will be: Kenny Cornett, Derek Cornett, Patrick Watkins, Ben Watkins and Mikey Watkins.
