Bonnie Frances McMahan, 88, Alpena, Arkansas, died August 31, 2013 at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas. She was born April 5, 1925 at George, Arkansas,the daughter of James Franklin and Amanda Elizabeth "Lizzie" Allred Spencer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bobo United Baptist Church. She was the widow of William "Bill" Henderson and was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Sue Patton, four brothers, Raymond Roe Spencer, Delbert Clarkie Spencer, Nobel Aaron Spencer and Dalton Cornell Spencer and six sisters, Myrtle Bee Parker, Margie Ethel Allred, Mildred Mae Clark, Nancy Lillie Cochran, Emma Louetta Clark and Anna Bell Hall. Bonnie was part of a large family. Born back and lived when everyone in the famkly learned to work. She married Rex McMahan on October 3, 1998 when they were both old enough to know better, but sure had a lot of good times together. Survivors include: her husband, Rex Samuel McMahan of the home; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Gary and Wanda McMahan of Alpena, Arkansas and Roger and Cormal McMahan of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister, Ina Spencer Grigg of Springdale, Arkansas; two sisters-in-law and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Thursday, September 5, at the New Home Full Gospel Church near Compton, Arkansas with The Reverends Benny Clark and Jerry Spurlock officiating. Interment will be in the Plumlee Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Paul Patton, John Paul Patton, Roger McMahan, Darrell Youngblood, John Gardner and Jerry Parker.
