Alvin Meyers, 76, of Springdale, Arkansas died May 14, 2017 at the Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks at Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born February 7, 1941 at Forth Worth, Texas the son of James Dewey and Bertie Mae Galttana Meyers. He was  a truck driver , a Christian and a Vietnam veteran serving in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roy Wayne Meyers and Owen Meyers.Survivors include: his wife, Norma Jean Racus Meyers of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Alvin Dewayne and Rebecca Meyers of Huntsville, Arkansas; three daughters and one son-in-law, Thelma Mae and Kelly Phillips of Clifty, Arkansas, Peggy Sue Boyd of Huntsville, Arkansas and Amanda Lynn Meyers of Springdale, Arkansas; one brother and two sisters-in-law, James Allen and Donna Meyers of Huntsville, Arkansas and Cheryl Meyers of Kingston, Arkansas; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Jack Windham of Springdale, Arkansas, Robin and Kenny Haren of Huntsville, Arkansas , Kelly and Marvin Caler of Greenland, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren, Dalton Meyers, Shelton Meyers, Lindsey Keck, Jesse (Katie) Parker, Cody (Clarissa) Parker, Kaitlin (Kayla) Parker, Nathan Wade Boyd, Billy Nichlas Boyd, Ryan Wade Boyd, Billy Mathew Boyd, George Wilbur Meyers, and Bailey Nichole Meyers; two great-grandchildren, Oliver Wilde and Liam Keith Parker.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Wednesday, May 17 in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Reverend Butch Bolinger officiating. Interment will be in the Big Sandy Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net at Huntsville. Pallbearers will be grandson. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters. Visitation will be 7:00 to 9:00 P. M. on Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present.
